Windows Explorer is one of the most frequently used Windows tools by users. However, there are times when you need to open two screens, or navigate from one screen to another, in order to, for example, copy files between two folders, or between your hard drive and USB. Windows Double Explorer, a free tool available from Codeplex, makes such common tasks much easier.

From the Known Folders option, you can quickly open folders that normally would take a few clicks to navigate to, for example, AppData, Cache, Cookies, Favorites, to name a few. If you really miss Windows Explorer, you can launch it from within the tool.

this game is almost entirely mechanical

The buttons on the left and right are not electronic buttons, but levers that mechanically stop the “ball” from traveling all the way to one side or the other

The ball is not the lit portion of a of a larger LED display, but is an individual LED on a moving arm

The red bracket over the top is the “serve” lever.

You are officially invited to join the search for extraterrestrial life

All you have to do is log on to SETIQuest.org, which went live on Wednesday. The site’s launch was announced at the TED 2010 conference currently underway in Long Beach, California.

SETIQuest is the product of astronomer Jill Tarter’s TED Prize wish.

Tarter wished that they would “empower Earthlings everywhere to become active participants in the ultimate search for cosmic company”.
